The choice between a jaw crusher and a cone crusher for basalt depends on the throughput, the size of the feed material and the final particle size: a jaw crusher is suitable for the primary crushing of large chunks, whilst a cone crusher is suitable for secondary or tertiary crushing to produce a uniform particle size. For small-scale operations of up to 50 t/h, a jaw crusher is used; for high-capacity operations exceeding 100 t/h, both types are combined.

The choice of crusher for a granite quarry affects productivity and profitability; take into account the characteristics of the granite (hardness, particle sizes), whether the crusher’s capacity matches planned output, its ability to integrate into the production line, and ease of maintenance. Avoid the following mistakes: choosing a crusher based solely on the lowest price without considering the service life of components, ignoring restrictions on feed sizes, and overloading the equipment.

Replacing the bearings on a jaw crusher at a quarry affects production stability. The following sequence must be followed: stop and lock the crusher, select genuine bearings from the catalogue, do not use heavy-duty impact tools during removal, and do not heat the bearings above the specified limit during installation. After installation, check the clearance and rotation, carry out a test run, and monitor vibration and temperature.

The hydraulic system of a mobile crusher is of critical importance: early diagnosis prevents costly downtime. Early faults are indicated by unusual noises, minor oil leaks and a slowdown in the operating cycles of the working components. At the initial stage, you can check the oil level, clean the filters and tighten the connections yourself. In the event of severe leaks, pressure surges, etc., call out a technician immediately; do not attempt to dismantle the system yourself.

The lining of a cone crusher’s crushing chamber protects the housing from wear; choosing and replacing it correctly determines the equipment’s service life. When selecting the lining, take into account the hardness of the material to be crushed and the geometry specific to the model; avoid non-genuine parts. When replacing the lining, clean the chamber, secure the parts in accordance with the instructions, and carry out a test run. Regular inspection and correct operation can extend its service life by 1.5–2 times.

The stationary jaw of a jaw crusher is a key component that affects the service life and efficiency of the equipment. When selecting a jaw crusher, check the model against the part catalogue numbers; choose high-manganese steel; and ensure the thickness of the working surface is appropriate for the intensity of the work. Do not opt for excessively cheap options; compare the total cost, including delivery and warranty; deviations from the market price of more than 20% should be investigated. Look for competitive offers from authorised dealers, specialist industrial marketplaces or reputable crusher repair services.

The movable jaw of an industrial jaw crusher is a key working component that affects crushing efficiency and operating costs. When selecting a jaw, you should consider: the material (manganese steel; for abrasive materials, chromium-molybdenum alloy steel), full compatibility with the specifications of your crusher model, the manufacturer’s reputation and a warranty of at least six months.

Crushers for processing tailings are a key piece of mining equipment. When selecting a crusher, the characteristics of the tailings, the required throughput and the desired product size are taken into account. During installation, a sturdy foundation is laid, clearances are adjusted, and safety guards and dust extraction systems are checked. During operation, care is taken to prevent metal contamination, wear on components is monitored, the crushing chamber is cleaned regularly, and the various assemblies are serviced.

A coal slag crusher processes waste into a usable fraction. Choose a model based on processing capacity and the hardness of the raw material; do not opt for excessive capacity. Common causes of breakdowns include metal contamination, cold starts without preheating, and neglecting lubrication. Install a magnetic separator, inspect the crushing chamber, adhere to the maintenance schedule, and do not overload the machine.

When selecting a manganese ore crusher with a capacity of 100 t/h, the average hardness and high abrasiveness of the raw material are taken into account, and models with hardened plates are chosen. For the crushing stage, jaw crushers (for coarse crushing) or cone crushers (for medium/fine crushing) are suitable; power and throughput capacity are also checked. To ensure stable operation, the condition of components is regularly monitored and the equipment is synchronised with associated machinery.
