A jaw crusher for primary ore crushing is a reliable «front-line worker» for mining enterprises; to select a suitable model, one simply needs to consider the size of the feed ore, the production capacity and the hardness of the raw material being processed, and its key advantages lie in its high load-bearing capacity, low energy consumption and ease of maintenance.
When making a selection, the first step is to assess the maximum size of the feed ore at the plant; which must be at least 10 per cent smaller than the crusher’s feed opening; then select a capacity rating to match the planned processing volume, whilst also taking into account the hardness and abrasiveness of the ore; for ultra-hard raw materials, models with a reinforced jaw design are preferable.
The working parts of the unit consist of two movable and one fixed jaw, which mimic the movement of the jaws of living creatures to compress and crush the raw material; the entire load-bearing structure is made of high-strength alloy steel, enabling it to withstand constant impact loads without deformation over thousands of hours of operation.
These units are characterised by low specific energy consumption per tonne of processed raw material, which significantly reduces operating costs; they do not require complex routine maintenance, all components are easily replaceable when worn, and the resulting output fraction composition is stable and ideally suited for subsequent stages of ore beneficiation.
