To ensure consistent performance and low operating costs for a cone crusher used to process iron ore, it is necessary to: select the crusher based on the characteristics of the raw material, the finished product and the production line; carry out regular maintenance; and optimise a uniform feed of raw material free from foreign objects.

A cone crusher for the 5–20 mm size range is selected based on the type of crushing chamber, capacity and the hardness of the raw material. During operation, it is necessary to monitor the clearance between the cones and to lubricate the components in good time. It is more cost-effective to buy directly from reputable manufacturers who offer a warranty and have service centres.

A self-adjusting cone crusher is an efficient piece of equipment for crushing mineral raw materials: it offers stable throughput, a low failure rate, automatic gap adjustment and protection against jamming. When selecting a model, consider the type of raw material, throughput, particle size, installation space and the availability of spare parts; compact models are suitable for small to medium-sized operations, whilst heavily loaded production lines require models with real-time monitoring – opt for tried-and-tested manufacturers.

A tracked cone crusher is indispensable in quarries: it is manoeuvrable, self-propelled and reduces transport costs. When choosing a model, consider the type of rock, the required throughput, the particle size and the load-bearing capacity of the tracks. Do not buy a model with excessive throughput, and do not overlook the availability of local service centres.

Cone crushers for the secondary crushing of granite are selected based on capacity, feed size, the target 0–40 mm particle size, component service life and compatibility with the production line. They outperform hammer crushers (which wear out quickly) and jaw crushers (which produce uneven grain sizes): precise crushing, low wear and a 30–40% saving on spare parts. To ensure long-term operation, it is necessary to monitor the cone clearance, replace the liners and avoid feeding granite that is too large.

When selecting a jaw crusher with a capacity of 250 t/h, three key factors must be taken into account: the characteristics of the material to be processed (select reinforced jaw plates if the raw material is highly abrasive), check the actual throughput under operating conditions, and confirm the availability of local service and spare parts from the supplier.

Hydraulic jaw crusher for crushing hard materials: select based on the size of the feed material, capacity (reserve not exceeding 30%) and the hydraulic system pressure required for the hardness of the rock. Before starting up, calibrate the drive, check for leaks and run the machine idle for 10 minutes. Operate the machine without any non-crushable objects, clean the hopper, check the hydraulics daily, carry out diagnostics monthly, and do not overload the machine.

A jaw crusher with a feed size of up to 700 mm is suitable for the primary crushing of hard rock. When selecting a model, take into account the size of the feed material, the compression force required for the rock’s hardness, and the required throughput. During operation, warm up the mechanism before the first start-up, do not feed in raw material larger than 700 mm, check the jaw plates for wear and tighten the fastenings. Carry out a routine inspection every 30 working hours, clean the crushing chamber and check the bearing lubrication to extend the service life.

A jaw crusher for primary ore crushing is a reliable piece of equipment for mining enterprises: it is selected based on the size of the feed pieces (the 10% has a smaller feed opening), its capacity and the hardness of the raw material. It features two jaws and a robust alloy steel housing, and is characterised by low energy consumption, simple maintenance and a consistent particle size distribution at the outlet.

Turnkey mobile jaw crushers in Russia are essential for mining and construction companies. When making a selection, factors such as capacity, jaw strength, mobility, energy consumption and maintenance are taken into account. The turnkey package includes supply, delivery, commissioning, training and a warranty. It is advisable to order from official manufacturers’ representatives with local warehouses.
