Before starting up, calibrate the drive, check for leaks and run the machine idle for 10 minutes. Operate the machine without any non-crushable objects, clean the hopper, check the hydraulics daily, carry out diagnostics monthly, and do not overload the machine.
A hydraulic jaw crusher is a reliable tool for crushing hard materials; choosing the right model and operating it correctly will ensure a long service life and high productivity. When selecting a model, consider the processing capacity, the size of the feed material and the specific requirements of your production process; during operation, monitor the condition of the components and ensure the gap is correctly adjusted.
First of all, determine the maximum size of the feed material; this must correspond to the width of the crusher’s feed opening, then calculate the required throughput in tonnes per hour; do not choose a model with a capacity exceeding your actual requirements by more than 30%. Also, pay attention to the hydraulic system pressure, which must be adapted to the hardness of the rock being processed.
Before starting the machine for the first time, calibrate the hydraulic drive so that the width of the discharge gap corresponds exactly to the required size of the finished product; check for any hydraulic fluid leaks; run the crusher at idle for 10 minutes; and ensure that the adjustment mechanism operates smoothly, without jerks or unusual noises.
Do not allow non-crushable objects to enter the crushing chamber; clear the feed hopper of any accumulated raw material in a timely manner; check the level and condition of the hydraulic fluid once per shift; carry out a full diagnostic check of all moving parts once a month, and do not overload the crusher beyond its rated capacity, as this will halve the service life of the hydraulic mechanism.
