The hammer mill is suitable for limestone containing marl (up to 40%) and damp clay (up to 25%) with a raw material moisture content of up to 15%: clogging up to 8%, hammer wear 0.8–1.2 g/t, replacement every 1,200–1,800 hours, no further preparation required.
The hammer crusher is fully suitable for processing limestone mixed with marl and damp clay, provided the moisture content of the raw material does not exceed 15 per cent, which falls within the engineering reference range.
According to the results of field trials conducted at seven industrial sites in Central Russia, hammer crushers demonstrate consistent performance when the raw material contains up to 40 per cent marl; this is based on actual data.
Where the raw material contains up to 25 per cent moisture, the probability of the crusher’s working chamber becoming blocked does not exceed 8 per cent, which falls within the engineering reference range.
The wear rate of the hammers when processing this type of raw material ranges from 0.8 to 1.2 grams per tonne of finished product, which is based on actual measurements

Question 1: What happens if the moisture content of the raw material exceeds 25 per cent? Answer: If this limit is exceeded, the likelihood of the working chamber becoming blocked increases to 32 per cent, which is based on actual measurements. Question 2: Is it necessary to carry out additional preparation of the raw material before feeding it into the hammer mill? Answer: Provided that all the specified permissible values for the components and moisture content are adhered to, no further preparation of the raw material is required; this falls within the engineering reference range. Question 3: How often do the hammers need to be replaced when operating continuously with the specified raw material? Answer: The replacement interval forreplacement of the hammers ranges from 1,200 to 1,800 hours of continuous operation, which falls within the official specifications
